The winter drive is an out-reach programme for helping those who are less fortunate. We will be donating to Tumelo Home, based in Ivory Park (an informal settlement in Midrand), which opened its doors in April 1998. Founded by Dr G.M and Mrs. O.G Thindisa. Tumelo Home started out as a day care facility, catering for children with disabilities The parents of the children could not afford to take them to a normal day-care centre and this was one of the primary reasons for the home being established. Tumelo Home is the only facility that is currently offering these services in Midrand, Ivory Park and the Tembisa areas.

Today Tumelo Home is housing 32 children, as well as providing day care for ten children. It provides basic shelter, nourishment and healthcare to the children who are intellectually and physically disabled. Approximately 30% of the residents are orphaned, abandoned or from indigent backgrounds and are infected with HIV/AIDS. The additional medical needs of these children place a significant financial strain on the budget and bottom-line costs of operating the Home. winterdrive

The children live at the centre, where they are given 24 hour care.  They receive all the medication needed, education, spiritual guidance and lots of LOVE.

In supporting the Tumelo Centre, you are giving children that were deemed to be hopeless the hope and life they deserve.

Please help us give Tumelo centre's residents the hope they need by donating non-perishable foods, clothes toys, blankets and anything else you do not need.
